Privacy Fence & Custom Gate

Full backyard privacy fence built with cedar boards, properly set posts, and a custom-built gate to match. Designed to stay square and good-looking for years to come.

The old fence was rotting, leaning, and gaps had opened up between sections. The homeowners wanted privacy back from the new neighbours behind them — without the look of a generic vinyl fence.

All old posts and panels were pulled. New posts were set below frost depth in concrete, leveled by sight line so the fence stays square even on the sloped section of the yard.

Cedar boards were dry-fitted, fastened with stainless hardware, and finished with a clear stain. The custom gate was built oversized to fit a riding mower through.

The yard feels twice the size. The fence is square, the gate swings cleanly, and the cedar will silver out beautifully over the next couple of seasons.
